The Marion County Circuit Court is seeking applicants for a Hearings Referee position with the court.   This recruitment is to develop a pool of qualified candidates for future Hearings Referee positions that may come open within the next year.

As a Hearings Referee…

You will preside over a variety of legal matters before the court, including but not limited to routine preliminary criminal proceedings; dependency and delinquency hearings; small claims and landlord/tenant motions, hearings, and trials; support enforcement hearings; and other cases as assigned. You will have Pro Tem appointments as a Circuit Judge for felony, misdemeanor, dependency, delinquency, violations, small claims, and civil cases. Practicing Law at Saalfeld Griggs

The Real Estate & Land Use practice group serves clients with drafting and negotiating

commercial and real estate transactional documents, resolving real estate disputes, obtaining

land use entitlements, and handling appeals before local and state administrative and

adjudicative bodies.

Requirements

We are looking for graduating and experienced attorneys for our expanding Real Estate & Land

Use practice group. Successful candidates will have 0 – 5 years of experience in the practice of

law. We offer a competitive salary (DOE) and benefits and the potential for additional bonus

compensation.

Successful candidates will possess:

 Excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills

 Strong attention to detail. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks

 Ability to work independently and collaboratively

 Strong interest and motivation for career advancement within the private practice of law

Candidates in the top one‐third of class preferred. Law Review, trial competition, or relevant real

estate or land use experience a plus.

Litigation Association - Downtown Portland

Seifer Yeats Zwierzynski & Gragg is seeking an Associate Attorney with at least three to five years of experience in construction law or litigation. The ideal candidate has experience that demonstrates: (a) excellent research, writing and analytical skills; (b) attention to detail; (c) confidence in taking depositions and/or in presenting oral argument in the courtroom; and, importantly (d) a strong desire to accelerate the learning process by becoming actively involved in the handling of complex cases.
