  • Oregon State Law Library, Oregon Supreme Court building, 1163 State Street

State of Oregon Law Library in partnership with OWLS Mary Leonard Chapter

With Hayley Eld, CPA, of Fischer, Hayes, Joye & Allen, LLC

Join the Salem Working Parents Committee of OWLS MLC for a seminar on best tax practices for parents.

RSVP: OWLS MLC website

Hayley Eld, a CPA with Fischer, Hayes, Joye & Allen, LLC, will present answers to some common questions as well as those from the audience.  Topics discussed may include: What do I need from a childcare provider/nanny in terms of documents at the outset of a relationship? What do I need to provide to him or her? What records do I need to keep? How do I pay a childcare provider/nanny? Are there special taxes or benefits? What are the important deadlines to know? What should be considered when making charitable contributions?

In conjunction with the Taxes for Parents seminar, the SWP Committee will hold a diaper drive on behalf of Family Building Blocks.  Please help families in our community by bringing a diaper donation to the seminar.  Family Building Blocks serves children from ages 0 to 3 and needs diapers sized newborn to size 5.  Disposable baby wipes are also appreciated.  The most needed donations are diapers and disposable potty-training pants (such as Pull-Ups) in sizes 4, 5, and 6. Family Building Blocks also needs disposable baby wipes.  Thank you!
